Excellent! Thankyou for the description on how this was done. I never would have guessed. This is really a pleasing photo, giving the impression it's coming out of water in the fog. You should be proud of this one!

Moving the focus closer and adding equivalent DOF would to get the closest leaf in sharp detail and hold the current detail would improve it.

I like the simplicity and the variation from white to grey in the bottom. I have however a minor remark, I would have prefered that the 4 leaves on front were is focus and the rest blured.

I agree with the above comments; this is a very good concept but the shallow depth of field detracts from the overall effect. Use a tripod and a smaller aperture next time.

I would also try using a tripod and several different apertures to see if you like the different focusing effects you get. I really like the idea alot.

Now who would have thought of that!
