charles_miller 0 Posted July 11, 2002 Way nice image. Um, I din't think the title "Big World" does it justice. Link to comment
ronald_blachly 0 Posted July 11, 2002 This is a beautiful shot with lots of intensity yet peace. One minor suggestion would be to place the tree a bit farther to the left, or crop some of the left out. Link to comment
cajunboy 0 Posted July 12, 2002 This is awesome... I love the blown look. I love the color. Link to comment
ian_campbell_harris 0 Posted July 13, 2002 love the shot, colour composition etc etc, i know im a small minded bugger, but couldnt you have used film ? just think of the resolution on 6x 4.5 cm or bigger! ah well!! you cant have it all!!. Still say its bloody good though. Link to comment
glenn_sackett 0 Posted July 14, 2002 The rhythm is what makes this photo work. It speaks of a relationship: the subject is neither tree nor sky, but wind, which has shaped both the tree (over the years) and the sky (in the moment.) That which is invisible shapes the visible world, again and again. For me, that removes it from the category of a cliche. Link to comment
armindo_lopes 1 Posted July 20, 2002 Ya, its a big world but one tree only...Fantastic shot. On of the best I have seen today. Link to comment
randall_shafer 0 Posted August 6, 2002 "It's a Big World" composition works against the title. The centering of the tree makes it dominate the frame. Moving the tree more to the left will help isolate, and the somewhat circular pattern of the clouds will be more obvious. Color is muted and supports the idea, but I would prefer to see it in B&W. wayne_clooney 0 Posted August 27, 2002 Has a Lonely, dreamlike quality to it. Love it, nice work! Link to comment
bdouglas 0 Posted December 23, 2002 This picture's composition is excellent, this one I'd love to see the actual print. The only critique I would have would be to move the tree to the right by about half of it's width. Very nice. Link to comment
pimgeertsfotografie 0 Posted May 25, 2003 really nice, would have been even better if there were some more space at the right of the tree. Link to comment
andrew_grant 0 Posted June 16, 2003 I love the wind swept look of the tree and the light behind it. Link to comment
