lucas_griego 0 Posted February 27, 2002 When I see the shot it reminds me for some reason of a rocket about to blast off. Which is good - if that is the intent/interpetation... or if your happy with the motion in the shot - it does give it an energy of sorts. If however you were trying for a clean and tight literal night shot of the Eiffel tower then a tripod is the way to go. ;-) Link to comment
carl smith 0 Posted February 27, 2002 While there are times that blurred can be good. It really just looks like you had trouble holding still here. Link to comment
mark_rosen 0 Posted February 27, 2002 Burred pictures as art are my personal pet peeve! Sorry to be harsh, but IMO blur has a very limited asthetic use -- i.e. showing movement in a rapidly moving subject. My tip: work on technical perfection first, and then start getting artsy. Link to comment
SolaresLarrave 2 Posted February 28, 2002 Go get one and redo this shot. I have seen VERY few shots in which the blur adds something. This one would be great, if it wasn't for the blur. You'll see the difference. Link to comment
hudsonphotos 0 Posted March 1, 2002 Is the blur intentional or did you do it on purpose? If it was intentional, I like it. Another fine grained non-blur shot of this structure would be, well, just another picture. This one adds interest and artistic qualities to a much too overly-photographed subject. There is an image in a current photo magazine of a NYC street scene taken by the former mayor. It is blurry like this. It adds interest where there was none before. If you didn't mean to blur this and it's an accident, get a tripod! Link to comment
ken_imduaikiat2 0 Posted March 2, 2002 Earthquake.... That's certainly a good idea... certainly what I had in mind when I look at the photograph. Blurring your image is nice, we can still recognize the scene and the environment. Just don't over do it. Link to comment
