arthur sevestre 0 Posted February 15, 2002 From this close close-up, can anyone tell me what species this is? Strange question for this forum, but it really bothers me that I can't remember! Thanks! Link to comment
matty.d.vickery 0 Posted February 15, 2002 It's a beautiful picture, the grain, contrast and colour are wonderful but the image appears not to have sharp focus. I guess this may have been the scanning? BTW It looks like a Tawny Eagle to me, however I'm not sure. Link to comment
arthur sevestre 0 Posted February 15, 2002 Afraid not... The bird was apparantly quite nervous and moved around a lot. Since I really wanted to try a real close-up, that meant continuously focussing. Clearly the focus wasn't perfect when I pushed the button. Link to comment

menno_boon 0 Posted April 2, 2002 I think you used a flash, what type did you use? I am a Minolta photographer too, and I often wonder what settings are good for indoor photography, and what type of flash to use with a telephoto lens. Love the pictures, all of the birds, by the way! Link to comment
arthur sevestre 0 Posted April 2, 2002 No flash used Menno. It just was a late afternoon on a sunny day and it is shot outside. Link to comment
