I cropped left & donw sides and inserted a wooden frame, nothing

else. I'm not satisfied by the sharpness, however it's a trial.

This is a good idea but because you are taking a photo of a monitor, you definitely lose sharpness. Maybe you could try the unsharp mask in PS.
