It's Buddha's Birthday today. I arrived at Tongdosa late evening just in time for the big event of lighting the lanterns. Hundreds of people shared hands with all the monks in the event of lighting the lanterns in the main courtyard which lasted over 30 mins. Tongdosa is one of the big three important temples to be at during Buddha's Birthday and I was glad to make it here this year.
