Another attempt with my macro, please teach me!!?

It happens that i use the same lens as you, and i'm learning too ! I see nothing wrong with the settings you mention for this one. You got a good focus, a nice clear and blurry bg. For what's worth the settings i use the most frequently are (depending on conditions) : ISO 100 or 200, F 8 to F 13, shutter speed 1/200 at least when hanheld. And a flash (classical with diffuser, or macro twin flash). I don't think you used a flash for this one, or did you ?
