tom_menegatos 0 Posted February 7, 2002 Good... 2 words now. There are five photos so far in this folder. Maybe by the fifth one you will have completed a meaningful sentence. Link to comment
warren_baird 0 Posted February 9, 2002 Very nice. I also quite like this one. The purist in me wishes you had done something to the ends of the rope so they weren't fraying a bit, but now I'm clearly nitpicking... Link to comment
tom_menegatos 0 Posted February 11, 2002 Thanks to everyone for their responses to my questions on the topic a while back. I finally was able to scan some of the images from my first bondage shoot. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot in the process. All the input I got from people before hand made a huge difference. A thread asking "what rope should I use" was a lot more interesting to me than some of the film/camera/lens debates that are usually on here. Well this is it. Please have a look at this folder tell me how I did on my first time tieing someone up and the first time photographing it as well. I have some more photos that I like better but I haven't been able to get them scanned yet. Should be here soon. Before anyone else chimes in with their comments she was a willing participant and loved every minute of it. :) Link to comment
carl smith 0 Posted February 11, 2002 I like this one too. These are very interesting, even if not usually in my taste. I like the implied nudity. And Guy, well, people these days. whaddayagonnado? Link to comment
cosmo_genovese 0 Posted February 11, 2002 Your bondage shots have a long way to go. These photos are more like "Girl Badly Tied UP with Large-Gauge Nylon Rope with Frayed Ends" than they are true bondage shots. There's no erotic charge in them--no tension. Check out some of the sites on "Shibari" (the Art of Japanese Bondage) to see how it's really done. Finally, your lighting is too flat and uninteresting. Link to comment
justthings 0 Posted February 12, 2002 I like these images, and though I like the lighting, I would like to see something where the knots were more clearly visible - bondage #6 is close. Some of the knots look very loosely tied, and as the other guy commented, the frayed ends visible are unsightly (try searing the ends of nylon rope in an open flame to keep this from happening). Great images though, keep it up! And.. as to the perpetual 'why' question.. why the hell not? Link to comment
ed_berman6 0 Posted February 12, 2002 I found that Cosmo Genovese's comment was right on the money. Sorry. Link to comment
cd thacker 0 Posted February 15, 2002 I wonder how many guys (including the women) on this site wanted to try bondage but never had the guts? But now that you've broken the ice, you face the really scary part , which is, paraphrasing Cosmo above, to make it authentic. He's right about studying the Japanese bondage - it doesn't get more authentic than that. If you keep it at this level, you'd be better off sticking with what's comfortable and not doing it at all.
