wesleybrownphoto 0 Posted June 6, 2006 Nice photo, Sarah. The only suggestion I have is to shoot next time at the highest f stop you can, f12 or f16 to turn those blown out lights into stars (surely you've seen some examples of this). I get the blowouts too and usually and happy nonetheless after burning them in a bit in PS, and this is because I am way to often without a tripod for the required long exposure. However, there is no doubt that a high f stop in low light renders a sharper image without the distracting blowouts. Ooh, I wish I could be there! Bests - Link to comment
FilmPhotography-DuaneHorne 0 Posted June 6, 2006 Sarah, IExcellent composition and colour. You msy want to try to stop down the lense to f16 or higher for the star effect. However, I think this image has good enought perspective and visual interest to stand on its own. Nicely done. Link to comment

bartimeus1 0 Posted June 25, 2006 Very pleasing and beautiful capture! I like the shimmering around the lamps. Was the climate very moisture while shooting this one? Link to comment
marionovak 0 Posted August 23, 2006 Nice work Sarah, Now I see why you like some of my panoramic work, only somebody who is there in the situations like this can appreciate what is going on in the landscape and how difficult is to get the feel of the place in the photo the way we experience it with our eyes. Nice photo, I wish I'm there :-) Link to comment
marionovak 0 Posted August 27, 2006 Regarding stopping lens to f16, it is nice idea, but that will require use of tripod and I don't think Sarah is lugging tripod around in the place like this Link to comment
sacha_de_carlo 0 Posted April 15, 2007 I agree with previous viewers, this is really a good photo. It does convey a message of peace (at least to me :). I don't know what camera you used, but if you can, a tripod and a neutral density filter (ND 4x or 8x would work) can help in this kind of situations. Using these would allow a longer exposure so that the water would be smoother and reflect lights and sky even better :) Link to comment
