rjlewis 0 Posted June 3, 2006 This image is very appealing. From first glance there is a very nice balance overall. The clearing sky to the upper left seems symmetric with the darkness of the tree in the foreground, and I like the way the ridge in the background drops away to make a spot for the tree in the composition. And all of the tree's shadow is included. That makes it part of the scene as opposed to something that was just in the way. Nice eye. Beautiful mixture of textures in the clouds as well with no blown highlights. This might be monitor dependent, but the greenery seems a bit flat. Like the tired green of midsummer heat. I'd be tempted to push the saturation of the greens/yellows just a little bit to make the greenery a bit more vivid. I realize that might mess with the mountain ridge and lower left sky though because it looks like there's colored haze over there. It might require a few layers and masking. Just a thought. Wonderful composition in any event. Rick Link to comment
