m.william monroe 0 Posted June 1, 2006 Tanker truck explosion. I was on the scene before the police and fire dept. Please critique on composition and lighting. Link to comment
marco_ruggiero 0 Posted June 1, 2006 I like this image very much and it is very photojournalistic. It truly shows the event as it is happening. I think it is dramatic and it captures the moment well. It is a shame that the anonimous raters can't seem to understand different scenes other than nudes and buzz images. Good shot. Link to comment
michaelging 1 Posted June 1, 2006 Michael, This is far and away the best of the 3 photos you posted of the fire. In looking at the fire , I wonder why you did not take 5 steps to the left and got rid of that pole that cuts the photo in Half. Its a very bad distraction. You do not seem to have any photo of the firemen actually putting water or foam on the fire. A photo of the Driver would be good as well, especially if he was in the foreground and the truck in the background. Nice flames.Did you offer it to the local paper? Link to comment
m.william monroe 0 Posted June 2, 2006 The driver was ou tof the truck and ran when the explosion hit. He was ok. If I had gone in any direction the trees would have blocked my shot. In do have pictures of the fire being extinguished however the firemen had to pump water from a ladder truck over the top of a bridge about 300 ft away. As you can see from the photo's the actual tank did not blow up yet. Link to comment
