philip_coggan 0 Posted February 16, 2002 Ken - I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. You obviously cropped the top of the head deliberately. Cropping the head I guess switches the focus from the lady to the seascape, but the focus on the beach/sea is too soft to bear being the main subject. So I'm left with no centre of interest. And the light doesn't appear to be too good on this particular day either. So I'm left feeling puzzled. Link to comment
brian_e 0 Posted February 20, 2002 there's more here than just the blue shirt and mountains. nice positioning of the shape of the coast and where you positioned the girl in the frame. to me this is a great "magazine ad" type of photo, but i think it might have more impact if it was on a sunny day versus overcast. the overcast makes it kind of gloomy, and i think what you're trying to sell might be different than that. apologies if i got the message wrong, that's just my impression. bozovic 0 Posted March 1, 2002 Guys, it's a blue shirt! ;) That's the point of interest ;) Link to comment
cd thacker 0 Posted March 5, 2002 This would work for me completely, if the focus on the girl were sharper (perhaps it's my monitor?). I like the soft background, the framing, and the (in camera) cropping. Link to comment
