Terrific sky, great stuff for the guts ;-) Outstanding quality photo of a rare scenery, clouds in different (altitude) layers and patterns with spectacular light. Interesting the absence of clouds motion blur despite your long exposure, feels like the quiet before the storm.

Awesome capture. A powerful elemental feel about it. One of my favourites in your great portfolio. Congratulations on your recent 2nd? POW.

I'm very late to this party -- been away for about a month -- but let me just chime in that this is indeed a fine composition with a deeply interesting sky. It deserves a place alongside several of your recent images that feature similarly dramatic skies, also in a range of deep grays.

Nice photo mate. You say a 6 min exposure, what camera and film ( or was it digital ) did you use? Where was the photo taken?
