I don't know what's wrong with this... Seems to be color wrong... You have potentially a great shot...

I like the softness, the color shift around the highlights, the breeze blowing her hair and that look. Very nice!

Good the motion, good eyes

Like the pose, the composition, her flowing hair, the gaze, and the soft background. Perhaps a little more of a catch light in the eyes?

Nice composition but tones and colours are not ok. The problem could be due to the Photo CD scan.

I got some PhotoCD of my honey moon but colours were very bad, as with solarisation and this look also your problem. Probably photoCD are done to be watched on TV and there fore they have a strange palette.

 

The left sider of her face is overexposed and burns out many small features. I would like to see this done over and use of a diffuser on the left or a reflector to brighten the right side.

Try changing it to B+W? Very nice composition (hair looks like La Primavera), but as has been noted, colours are indeed off.

I brought this image out to compare the commercial photocd scan of 1996 to my new desktop scanner. Sadly, I discovered:

• how really bad the PhotoCD colors were, and
• that the original slide has been attacked by Hawaiian fungus!

I scanned the original anyway, and posted it as http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=595952 -- the desktop color is better, despite the schmutz

I'm now looking for any of the three or four dupes I made of the slide at the time, perhaps one of them will reveal the original colors more truly. Thanks for the comments, I appreciate them all.
