I achieved this effect using blur and inverting the Lightness channel in Lab Color mode.

I am a bit conservative so I would rate the original higher for aesthetics, but I think it is good to experiment, nice idea. Nonetheless I think the original would be slightly better. 5/5

Original, I like it! I preffer this to the "normal" colors.

I haven't looked at the original yet, but this is a very striking image. Love the way you worked it, and very original thinking to come up with this solution. Just terrific. I think this is grossly underrated.
