My personal favorite of this folder. You have really caught Jasper showing us his dogness. Lovely shot of a lovable dog I am sure.

Room for improvement? Hmm... Others have already commented on the blown out highlights. On my monitor I see no detail on his cheek just below his eye. I suspect you have detail in teh negative you might have to rescan it, or you can clone in some texture from elsewhere.

Great shot anyway.

Thanks Bill- I'll see what I can do with that highlight. Poor guy started going grey early, and that spot seems to always get blown out (seen in another shot in this folder) ;-(

I've done some early (quick) prints of this photo and am still trying to figure out the correct balance- the neg is a bit thin and it's tough separating the tonal range through contrast without blowing out that highlight. If I just print it lighter, the whole thing goes flat. I haven't done any burning tests yet though- it should be a simple one to do (easier than split contrast in this neg anyway).
