michaelhills 0 Posted May 31, 2006 Amar, I like both versions (again!). You do something with the colour in your images which really appeal to my taste. Subject matter here is arresting too. Personally, I am unsure about the placement of her hands - her face expresses such warmth and fluidity which (I feel) is not really reflected in the stance of her hands and arms. I guess what I'm trying to say is that she looks a little 'posed' and 'rigid', except for her expression. I do like that you have chosen to include her stomach as well. Wonder what it would look like to have included the belly button? Overall, there is a strength of character that shines through here, tempered by a real warmth of character as well. I just feel the 'cross' is a little too rigid. What you think? M :) Link to comment
atkphotoworks 0 Posted June 1, 2006 Hey Michael. I really do appreciate your comments. I can see how the crossed arms can make the image look pose and rigid. Strangely though I like that it lends to the contrast with her expression. Perhaps if her hands were holding her arms around her biceps, the image would appear more relaxed. As for her belly button, there's a thought to keep in mind for the next time. Link to comment
michaelhills 0 Posted June 1, 2006 Always a pleasure, Amar. Your thoughts about the alternative arm placement merits exploring I feel. And, don't forget to include the belly button next time... hehe M ;) Link to comment
atkphotoworks 0 Posted June 1, 2006 Thanks Michael. I can actually imagine it being "sexier" with the alternative hand placement. That said, I like the "contrast" of the rigidness and the expression, just my mood these days, like all the phases I traverse. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted August 23, 2006 This is so very good Amar. As usual you managed to capture the essence of the model, her feelings and vitality. Kudos to you. Link to comment
