Hi David. This is a nice portrait. The one thing I would comment on is that the right side of the models' face is a bit hot. There could be several reasons for this but it looks as though you took an exposure reading from the models left side (the unlit side).I can tell by the catchlights in the models' eyes that the flash was placed on her right. This would have caused you to set your camera to the suggested aperture for the unlit side thus overexposing the lit side. I would suggest that you move your flash unit back a little and take your exposure reading from the centre of the face with the reflector in place. Point the 'cone' of the flash/exposure meter directly at the camera lens too. It may also be beneficial to move your flash directly in front of the models' face at a distance of around 6 feet. If your softbox is large enough and you set it low enough, you will achieve seamless and flat lighting without the need for a reflector. The flash unit has to be low otherwise shadows will form under the nose and lower lip. It would of been good to include her hands though and the image doesn't seem to be sharp although this could be due to the scanning process. Having said all of that, I do like this shot as it shows a lot of excellent potential. Keep shooting!

I do like how her darker hair gives a boundary to the rest of the picture, separating her face from the background and allowing one's eye to focus on her smile and eyes (instead of being distracted elsewhere due to a lack of contrast between face and surroundings) .
