phillipmarcovallentin 0 Posted May 23, 2006 What do think about my contrast in this shot? Your honest/personal view please? Thanks! Marco/ Link to comment
stevespencer 0 Posted May 23, 2006 This is an eye-grabber on a number of levels. The colors work well together. I was going to say the contrast is near perfect, and it is, however, it is possible to take the blacks down a little and still retain detail. I am also seeing some noise in the solid blue, which should not be evident with the 20D. I played with the tonal values in Photoimpression and ran it through neat image, but retained the original skin texture unfiltered. What do you think? -s Link to comment
baerbel 0 Posted May 23, 2006 S is right about this being an eye grabber. It sure grabbed mine! Great shot! :) Link to comment
michael comerford 0 Posted May 23, 2006 Back to your original questino regarding contrast . . . I think the levels are reasonable, however I find the relatively bright background a little distracting (only a little mind - she really is very attractive !!) I think if the blue was either a mid-grey or even nearly black the contrast of her bum and the corset would be somewhat emphasised. Great shot though - well done. Link to comment
tilly 0 Posted May 23, 2006 I agree with Michael about background, the subject look perfect to me. by the way i like the photo "8 inches". Link to comment
phillipmarcovallentin 0 Posted May 24, 2006 "S": I really like what you have done. It looks less noisy and more saturated. Are you available for hire? It looks like you do good postproduction ;-) This is a section of a larger shot. That explains some of the noise. Thank you for you very relevant critique, and fine attachment ;-) Baerbel & Isaac: Thank you guys ;-) Michael: I'll keep that in mind - I do need a new "Thunder Grey" seamless soon... Jade: Thanks! - then why don't you write just a short critique to "8 inches" ? Greetings to you all, from Copenhagen. Marco/ Link to comment
arnabbanerjee 0 Posted May 24, 2006 Lose the chair - just an idea..that will show the curve even better and make it neat Link to comment
mrstubbs 0 Posted May 25, 2006 I was going to say I liked it both ways, but thought better. Link to comment
phillipmarcovallentin 0 Posted May 25, 2006 Arnab: I think I'll try just that, next time. Enrique: Thanks! Anthony: After seing your creative attachment (!), an old Diana Ross come to mind: "Upside Down" ;-) Wade: I'm happy you like it! Thanks to all of you, for taking your time to study my work ;-) best regards from Copenhagen, Marco/ Link to comment
