michaelhills 0 Posted May 22, 2006 L, what lens did you use for this? I like the perspective and the toning treatment - all comes together rather well. It does not hurt to have a subject with such character too! I do not mind the large 'wasted' space at top of frame. I think you might find a few others will. One major negative (for me) is your very prominent reflection in the bumper. Was that intentional? M :) Link to comment
michaelhills 0 Posted May 22, 2006 ps... your reflection, plus the other cars, I forgot to add. M :) Link to comment
lramoth 0 Posted May 22, 2006 Much appreciation for the critique! The reflection...well quite unavoidable...but I like how it adds a small signature to the photo...I tried so many angles on this car and it was hard because there were cars parked on either side of it. I used Canon's 17-40mm f/4L 17mm, ISO:400, 1/125, f/11 Canon EOS 5D Cheers, Lance Link to comment
excelguru 0 Posted May 22, 2006 This image works. That is totally cool. I like the way the image is cut diagonally between the white space and the subject. Wonderful detail in the car. Just great. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 22, 2006 Looks like something straight out of a dream or perhaps a Stephen King novel. Fantastic texture on that car and I like the contrast from the worn rusty pain and the shinny chrome bumper. The white space works beautifully here to isolate your subject. Could use a little more USM but otherwise I would not change a thing. I would hang this one on the wall, Cheers, Mauro. Link to comment

jayme 0 Posted May 22, 2006 Well done :) I also like the reflection, kind of another image inside an image. A little bonus :)Would you mind telling us how you accomplished this? I really like the results. Link to comment
lramoth 0 Posted May 22, 2006 Thanks for the comment. Initially the image was slightly overexposed. I tried to fix it in the RAW converter in ps, but then the image just fell flat...by pure coincidence I pulled the exposure slider higher to the right in frustration...and walla...serendipity.
