Beautifully composed, Sky. Love the treatment - works extremely well with this scene. Is this a fishing boat? You'll have to share how you achieved this.

Hey Tammy,

I couldn't recount all the steps. This was several photos because I couldn't get far enough away to capture the entire ship. This is an old merchant ship that the State of Texas sponsored the restoration of. I had to rebuild it in PSP and fixed it using several layers and masks. I wish I could relate exactly how. It was about three hours of work. I really should start keeping up with the steps so they can be duplicated. I work by eye more or less. Thanks for the encouragement. It does a lot for my creativity.

Thank you Kim,

Your comments and the others have certainly made me feel like the work has been worth it. I never seem to have the "Eureka" feeling after completing one of these. Everyone's kind comments make me feel like I might have gotten close to a mini-masterpiece, at least for me anyway.

Sincerely thanks to all,

~Sky

You are incredibly talented! I would never even think to create the stuff you do that's so artistic. Do you have a vision in your head of how you want it to look, or do you just come up with it a little at a time? You just keep getting better and better.

I only have a general idea of what I want the picture to come out like. Then I start and as I go through the process, I try to please my eye. Till I get that, I keep working at it and only when I get to that level do I stop. Although I often can't leave well enough alone and I'm afraid that's when I ruin most of them. I've learned to save along the way so I can get back to something I did like.

Listen, thank you both very much for the positive feedback. I seriously often find it hard to belive that others enjoy any of these. I'm very grateful that ya'll speak up. You are both very gracious and from that I do feel like I've been able to improve.

Still hoping for that masterpiece someday.

Sincerely,

~Sky

Aren't we all still hoping for that masterpiece! I think you are getting there. And to continue the "Mutual Admiration Society", thank you for all the kind comments and encouragement you give me!

Hey Sky!

Don't kid yourself, this is creative as all get out!

Sort of reminds me of back when I was in art class at school, the teach had us doing montages from magazine clippings, and turning them into artworks!

As a note, if you need a wider angle lens, there is a company that makes add on wide angle adapters for just about any type digital camera, might be something to look into!

Have fun!

Ken.

I appreciate that. I hope I can muster a new camera in the near future. Perhaps a SLR Canon or Nikon. Thanks for stopping by. Really enjoyed those race boats. ~Sky

Well, if you would be interested, I am going to be upgrading to the Fuji S3 before long, I could be persuaded to give you first crack at my Fuji S2 "body", if you want, just drop me an email, and we can discuss it, I'M sure we could work something out!

I appreciate that Ken. I'll toss the notion around. You do get some great pictures with it. Don't miss a sale on my account but I may give you a holler if I can cipher up some surplus funds. It's amazing how much one can drop on one of these babies. I'll keep your email handy.

Take care and thanks again. ~Sky
