i love it... its been quite a challange for me to catch a similar shot, sadly i didn't get to have my camrea + tele with me, on very few occasions, i whitnessed this kind of moonset over mountains. congrats :)

George - I used a Canon EF 100-400 L Lens with a 1.4x extender. Given the 1.6x crop factor with the Canon 20D digital back, the equivalent focal length was somewhere near 700mm.

Really impressed. Tried to take similar pictures in Spain whilst on holiday but the moon became completely overexposed. How do you maintain the detail?
