Well, I don't understand the title. The fish doesn't seem to have another chance; or is it that someone must catch one? Seems like some smooching action caught in the act. Looks like good eatin'.

This one lives to swim another day.

I suppose the title is from the, "One More Cast" theme... Just a peaceful evening fishin' and glad I tossed the line one more time. As for the smootches, I'd hate to waste kisses on a fish, for a few more years anyway.

Glad you stopped by. ~Sky

Sky, if fishes are capable of deep thoughts, I'm sure that this one was quite ticked off but very grateful at the same time. Sounds like good relaxing fun. Haven't really gone fishin' since I was a kid; the good ol' days when only a bamboo stick, a line, a hook and some baits were all we had.

Yeah Thai, those were the days! Fishing has always been incidental for me... Somehow I'm always surprised when I find a fish on the end of the line. Mostly just watching the dragonflies, swatting mosquitos, and enjoying the scenery is what my fishing seems to be about...

...but occasionally, a nice one bumps into my hook and I'm a kid again!

Here's to the good old days of bamboo poles and no place to be, Cheers! ~Sky

Hey Sky!

Watcha got there, about a 14x2 - 16x3, not to shabby, I agree, to the good old day's!

It seems that as a kid, I cought more fish, and had more fun with the home made fishin gear we used to use, than what I do today with the gear that I have that cost about as much as my camera equipment! :O)

When I was a kid, the fish just jumped on those old fashion poles with butcher's twine, stick floats and rock weights... I'm afraid I'd be censored by the fishing companies. I'm sure Issac Walton never imagined the modern sporting goods department at the local Walmart. We've come a long way from fish hooks and corks. But one backlash makes me wish for those days again. (This one was about a 3 pounder.)

Take care. ~Sky

Very nice catch! I'm afraid the "good old days" for me were trolling for macs in the deep water with my grandparents all day...well, there were the times we bank fished, and I had to climb the pine trees to untangle their hooks from the branches :) The bluegill are biting good here, but I haven't been out after them. You'll have to do my share of fishing, I guess. Keep sharing the fun!

Bluegill are fun. I'm rarely in the catagory of a serious fishermen although it is fun and I understand how people get "hooked".

Surely there are a few good memories from all that mac trolling besides climbing those sap covered pine trees. I have more fun with panfish and a flyrod than any other fishing I suppose but like I told Ken, I mostly enjoy seeing the wildlife or watching the clouds go by. I'll try to catch a couple on your behalf next time I get to go.

Take care and remember, if your camera is handy, you could always call it a photography outing instead of fishing.

My hubby used to flyfish every time he got the chance, but he's too busy lately. I never learned, but it looks fun. The trolling was great. I did catch a 9-lb rainbow once, and it's on my wall :)
