jdudley 0 Posted May 19, 2006 The original is large enough that you can see the pilots looking at each others aircraft to keep their formation tight. Do you like? Link to comment
dangoldman 0 Posted May 20, 2006 very very nice. sharp, good colors, pretty good timing. I just wish i could see more of the raptor. However, you dont really have control over that kind of postioning, everything is trade off. thanks for making me want that new lense more than ever now... Link to comment
jdudley 0 Posted May 22, 2006 Dan--Totally agree. I got a whole series of shots on the pass. This one just had a great feel to it, but yes, I'd like to see the F-22 a bit better. But the F-86/F-15/A-10 threesome is pretty nice, and yeah, it's sharp as it gets. The lens (the fabulous 70-200mm VR F2.8) is awesome. Link to comment
thomas pitts 0 Posted May 22, 2006 This is the first time i have seen a formation similar to this with aircraft from different generations of the USAF. The closest we get to a formation similar to this in the UK is when the RAF carry out air-to-air phtography of the Eurofighter Typhoon and Supermarine Spitfire for marketing purposes Graet Photo Link to comment
dangoldman 0 Posted May 25, 2006 these kinds of things are pretty common over here. they call them the heritage flights and they usaly throw up a mustang in there too. Its one of the coolest sounds in the world. I'll upload one of my pics to my portfolio for the fun of it so you can see (but i won't keep it long, its a crop from a 55mm lense). Link to comment
