arthur sevestre 0 Posted February 1, 2002 Oh, I really love the athmosphere in this picture. The serious way she is getting dressed and the way she sits, it's as if she's getting ready to do a great, but difficult performance. Lovely but... it's such a shame that her shoe is not completely in the picture! The fact that her back is not, doesn't bother me, but I really miss the tip of her shoe, since it's her point of focus and therefore it's also a very important point for the viewer. Link to comment
jed goode 0 Posted February 1, 2002 I agree with all Arthur's comments ... the main one being that this is a lovely image. Link to comment
patrick_michel_dagenais 0 Posted February 1, 2002 I'm going to grab my camera and capture my kid in the same way you did. Please tell me you framed this. Don't care about the shoe... Link to comment
dan st. germain 0 Posted February 4, 2002 I updated this photo based on Arthur's comment to include the toe of her slipper. The original picture I posted did not contain the toe of her slipper but the negative did. So I had the lab reprint the picture to include the toe. Link to comment
arthur sevestre 0 Posted February 4, 2002 Dan, this is SO much better! I changed my rating to 9/8. I didn't really realise how important the shoe was, but it makes so much difference! I hope she will become a great dancer! Good luck! Link to comment
GerrySiegel 868 Posted February 5, 2002 Very successful potrait of a lovely young lady. If I may, the only thing else that would have marginally enhanced this shot is just a small card reflector to highlight the top of the hair and separate it from the background. A thought for future for what its worth. It has the window light quality yet with a small strobe, very well done. Thanks for opportunity to comment. Link to comment
dan st. germain 0 Posted October 1, 2002 Thanks Gerry for the comment. I dodged the background a little bit to seperate her from the background. Thanks again! Link to comment
