Awesome shot, excellent action, nice and sharp, the DOF is great!

Excellent shot!!! My kids play soccer and I wish I could get this shot! Only thought I have is I maybe would crop the in focus part of the field out leaving only the ball and the player in clear focus. Maybe it would give the photo a different perspective. No matter, it is a great shot.

Ripper of a shot Steve. The thumbnail didn't grab me immediately but when I opened up the photo - Wow! Great action capture, sharp as a tack, perfectly exposed with subject nicely isolated from an uncluttered background. The only reservation I have is the cropping. I guess you went for the vertical frame and room at the bottom to accentuate the player's leap. I'm thinking that other crops might look better. I'd be very proud of this one Steve. Regards, Neil

thanks for you comments they are much appreciated I would be happy to see your versions any input is always appreciated this was shot in a vertical aspect and I feel the grass in the foreground gives perspective

I think you are right Steve. Not a great deal to gain by cropping. I'm wondering how it would have looked in horizontal format with more space to left of the ball. But it's all hypothetical and a great shot as is. Sorry about the delay in replying. Regards, Neil

WOW such a nice action picture. and makes me wonder about the 3/3 guy is still doing its thing to bad great capture 7/7
