Jeremy Stein 0 Posted May 11, 2006 This is a non-releasable bird at the local Wildlife Rescue headquarters. He's much more personable than he looks... Link to comment

mmmee 0 Posted May 20, 2006 Funny how it looks like the other one, only without the mustaches and with an over abundance of blusher make up on this one. Please don't release this one. It reminds me of me, being released on Pnet, to run wild. I wonder why the top of her hair-do is somewhat blurred, even though she seems to be trying to keep up with the lastest bald fashion. She seems to have dropped a white crumb on her otherwise lovely dress. Oh well, when you get to be my age, you might be allowed some indescreptancies with your crumbs. Truly.. good light and a nice portrait of this rare bird. I like the very faded out background. What f-stop? Did I read 4? Seems just right. I wonder how close you were to the bird and what focal length, then. Link to comment
Jeremy Stein 0 Posted May 22, 2006 Focal length was 200 mm, and he was perhaps 4-5 feet away. The bird was on a tall perch with his eye level close to mine, and he wasn't moving around much, being quite used to people. The shot was handheld with no support other than my weak old arms.
