dave_cheney 0 Posted January 30, 2002 Hi Folks, This is a favorite images, I love the almost monochromatic tonality about it and the focus on the subject, but I worry that it's just an unflattering image. What say you photo.netters? Cheers Dave Link to comment
robert_kennedy 0 Posted January 30, 2002 I like it. True, it isn't the most flattering expression, but that is irrelevant. The image itself works well. I really like the tonality and lighting. Link to comment
gdw 0 Posted February 2, 2002 I dont recognize the person, but judging from the microphone, I would assume he is a person that is either giving a very emotional talk, or is singing a very emotional, probably sad, song. Taking that to be the case, I would judge that he would not use this photo in the lobby to attract patrons, but I highly doubt that he would consider it an unflattering portrait. Capturing emotions, even in not the most flattering poses, is one of the greater goals of photography as it is in any expressive medium , even lecturing or singing. Link to comment
