jean_schweitzer 0 Posted January 29, 2002 I like the colors on this one, but I do not understand what you have done with the duck head ? Link to comment
jason_peterson 0 Posted January 29, 2002 It seems that the head is turned around, grooming its own feathers I think... I find the picture nice, though, I detest ducks... so in that regard it doesn't do much for me. Wish there was a bit more feather detail in the black areas. Link to comment
mgvaughan.com 0 Posted January 29, 2002 Either lose the duck or put the head back in. I like the contrast in blurs, shape, color, etc., between the water and the duck. Link to comment
omar q 0 Posted January 29, 2002 The duck's head is complete. It is simply turned around and it's bill (which is also black) is obscured by its wings and feathers Link to comment
gdw 0 Posted February 3, 2002 Well, I like ducks and I agree, Omar, that this hooded merganser does have striking eyes. I also like it that the duck crisply jumps out from the soft background as well as the colors of the reflections in the water. Link to comment
omar q 0 Posted August 28, 2002 When I took this, all I noticed was the duck, not the funky reflections in the water. Now, if its the right time of day I pay attention to the reflections more. Link to comment
thephotoguy 0 Posted August 30, 2002 Hey Omar I really like this alot. The colors are nicely schemed together. As for the head I have no problem seeing it. I like the comment that said to put the head back in. I don't think that the Wildlife Federation would appreciate us cutting ducks head for photographing would they? LOL I give it an 8/8. I agree though I would like to have seen more detail on the feathers. Link to comment
jason51664876150 0 Posted September 1, 2002 I really like this image the way it is. Ducks turn their heads like this to distribute oil over their feathers, something they do when relaxed/content. It adds to the tranquility of this rythmic image. Nice job, Omar! Link to comment
derekb 0 Posted April 15, 2003 I love the colours in this image. Too bad the model couldn't have cooperated with you a bit more! Link to comment
