sondra kick 0 Posted May 8, 2006 From Lafayette Square one can see the Cathedral of St John the Baptist. The Victorian Gothic Cathedral was built in 1876 and destroyed by fire in 1898. It was rebuilt within the frame of the original walls. All comments are welcome. Sondra Link to comment
lbattjes 0 Posted May 8, 2006 I'm so jealous! I've been there...twice! and still didn't see what you saw. It's so wonderful to have all of those beautiful squares and the fabulous architecture in the historic district. Now I'll have to go again and try to find the angle you found. :) Very nice. Wonderful composition. Leslie Link to comment

aepelbacher 0 Posted May 13, 2006 I've never been to Savannah. Is the church lit around the steeples like this normally? It looks like some special decorative lighting or something. Link to comment
sondra kick 0 Posted May 13, 2006 Lou Ann, I am not sure about the lighting, but I think the church is always lit up. Link to comment
