ben heaven 0 Posted May 8, 2006 A portrait of my father at his home. The distance between the photographer and subject is intentional. Also the inclusion of the handbag and other items. Any thoughts would be welcome. Link to comment
paul_m._woods 0 Posted May 8, 2006 This photo is worth spending time looking at. A couple of things niggle - the laptop poking in, and the open bag at the foot of the sofa - but I expect this shot wasn't set up, was it? But overall, an interesting photograph. Link to comment
theokeijzers 0 Posted May 9, 2006 Very nice. Your cropping round the posters on the wall is very nicely done. How did you get the nice shadow toning on the left side? Somehow this picture looks like a box to view in. Link to comment
LindaM 2 Posted May 9, 2006 very nice. love the space. the laptop and handbag don't bother me in the least. they seem to be part of the story being told here. the only critisism i have is that i would like to see his whole foot. really nice! Link to comment
ben heaven 0 Posted May 9, 2006 Thanks for your comments. The shot wasn't posed although a tripod was used as the image has been stitched to up the resolution. the light was from a window so no flash - although i notice his shadow is a bit odd. probably due to the stiching and blending (i'll have to restore the original shadow). I like the inclusion of the laptop and handbag - both part of the story. unfortunately i did chop the lower foot! thanks again. Link to comment
atdeleted 0 Posted May 26, 2006 This is great as well. A really great place for a photo of him. Nicely composed but im not so sure of the cropping, I think there should be a little more at the bottom. Link to comment
