michaelk 0 Posted May 7, 2006 I won't rate it but I will tell you why I don't care for it. The picture feels to me as if it were a vacation snap shot however I am not sure it would be easy to take a picture of this and not have that feeling. The only ideas that come to mind to make it not feel this way is maybe at night or with a very high f stop and a very slow shutter speed so that all the people are blurred. Anyway thats my 2 cents. enrique laroche 0 Posted May 7, 2006 I am a native of San Francisco, Look at some other of my shots. I am really trying on this to make Post card type shots. Not engmatic just good architectural reps. Thanks for the comments very much. I do have other more enigmatic images of this structure. Link to comment
stephen hazelton 3 Posted May 7, 2006 I think you've got the makings of a couple of good photos here. First off, I notice that it looks like remnants of leaves or something on the top and left of the frame, and a wall on the right. If you had some kind of opening you were shooting through, I think it would work better to use that to frame the shot here. The picture of the building itself is fairly straightforward, and not impressive. I think to do much with it, you'd need to get some exceptional lighting or clouds. The heart looks interesting. I think perhaps a closer view of it, possibly with a person studying it, would be of more interest than the overall scene here. Buildings and towers are common, but big hearts in public places are not. Link to comment
enrique laroche 0 Posted May 7, 2006 Its a slide didnt crop all the rounded corners. I like your idea. I think I can do the Heart thing in an interesting way. You may wish to look at some of my other SF shots. Thanks E Link to comment
Charles_Webster 226 Posted April 21, 2007 Enrique, I think it's a nice "postcard" picture. Sometimes we want to make those. But I have a problem with the leaning clock tower. It's hard to capture a building like this without distorting the perspective, but it's not the "Leaning Ferry Building of SF" ;-) Take care, Link to comment
