pixelsaurus 0 Posted January 29, 2002 This was shot on my way from work.Auckland was obliterated by fog and the old style lamps gave that "Jack the Ripper" feel to the whole scene.Untold passersby told me " You can't take photos in fog, mate".Were they right? Link to comment
craig_bridge 0 Posted January 30, 2002 Your passers were "dead" wrong. Sorry, couldn't resist. Link to comment
a._schopenhauer 0 Posted January 30, 2002 I like it, I think it might have looked really fantastic in B&W. Link to comment
christian deichert 1 Posted January 30, 2002 The mopes on the street got it wrong, you got it right. Very nice shot, very moody. I disagree with the above comment; although I think the shot would also have been effective in gainy black and white, I think the slight hint of color gives it an extra edge. Link to comment
billmagee 0 Posted January 30, 2002 The pros all use filters and different means to provide a different effect. The fog, used as you did, appears to be a great tool. Excellent, please post more stuff. Link to comment
bruce_hamm 0 Posted January 31, 2002 This photo screams "atmosphere". The fact that it is in colour adds to that, IMHO. Well done. Link to comment
