mmurphy 0 Posted January 30, 2002 This picgture is great because thre are two types of contrast... The first is the contrast between the subject (the boat) with background (the sky). The second is the gray scale contrast - you managed to capture the mood of this sceen perfectly. Great shot. Link to comment
jeff_vogan1 0 Posted January 30, 2002 Very nice. I love the contrast from the upper right corner to the bottom left. Ideal b&w shot...this would not look as powerful in colour. Nicely done!!! Link to comment

tom_schonhoff 0 Posted February 1, 2002 Like the other reviewer said, this ship feels as though it's in the middle of a hard turn to port - fighting its way back to sea. Link to comment
scott_cary 0 Posted February 8, 2002 Very nice wide range of grays from the large format and good exposure. The ship leaning, reaching from the darkness of the lower left to the whiteness of the upper right is very dramatic. However, could it use a border or a little bit of gray at the upper right to hold the image in a bit? I picture this mounted on a standard photo board with the image fading off into the whiteness of the mat. Link to comment
