Mountain Road

Memories of a trip. I need opinions. Do you like it? Is it effective?

I like the tone of this picture and the shadow in the back but not the wood in the middle.... Too bad, it cuts the picture in two and the sun ray too...

I like it. I love the greenish tone, the foggyness in the distance and a touch of sunlight on the foreground. I also like the guard rail (?) dividing the image (almost) in two halves and the asphalt stripe below.

 

But the point is that it's exactly like this when you are driving along a mountain road, and you stop and get off to watch the view ... the silence and the solitude, the chill and rarefied air ... I can see all this in the photo, if this is what you wanted to show.

I am on this kind of things lately. Only I am a bit afraid of showing them here because they are a bit more risky than other pics that I posted previously. On the other hand I think I may more or less predict the comment on some shots but not on these others, that's why I am showing this series now. I need serious feedback even if some people could consider them as completely bad. Every opinion is important to me.

About he question of the rail, you may like it or not but I must say that was a principal element to me (I may be wrong, It can just be a question of bad taste :-)).

Al, merci pour ton comment. Je avait pense exactment le meme, dommage le moyen format. J'ai essaye de faire un crop carre mais je n'ai pas reussi! Je suis alle dans ton portfolio, il es vraiment superb. Je vais aller souvent.

I like it and I like the composition even I wish the rail not in the center. Colours make the shot moody, a bit surreal. Nice toning.
