w. roger keagle 0 Posted May 4, 2006 Nature works wonders in this damp place...huge trees and ferns...and not a single weed...hummm...could work wonders for my own backyard to give her control... Link to comment
w. roger keagle 0 Posted May 5, 2006 This is the worst rating picture I have ever had up on Photo Net, would someone please tell me why...comments from some of the lower raters would be too much to ask, but perhaps tell me where I have gone so wrong with this shot... Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted May 6, 2006 Roger, I would ignore the ratings if I were you. I've noticed my last postings are averaging in the 4's. I think this deserves far more than 4's or even 5's and will rate accordingly! Nice contrast, color and composition. Link to comment
w. roger keagle 0 Posted May 6, 2006 Ratings have gone down since they took off the 1's and 2's...thus we have a shorter scale...now...and 3's seem to be the new "hit" Linda and I always seem to get at least two on every upload. You are right, for the most part I ignore them...just when I first go to see comments, the details come up for a second and I was taken by surprise by the extreme low rating on this shot. kslonaker 0 Posted May 6, 2006 I try not to even look at the ratings if I can help it, Roger. Comments are far more valuable, imo. Link to comment
j_m_lee_photography 0 Posted May 6, 2006 Roger,to me is that your photos can bring me into your world and I can sense the presence as if i were there. Sometime I can even smell the air there. Excellent shot!!! Link to comment
photos of hans koot 0 Posted May 7, 2006 shots are sometimes definately underrated and sometimes overrated... on the other hand I see a tendency on pn to fine art work more then to photograpically great work, or the combination of it. Nothing against it, but its a narrowed view imo that doesnt do justice to many great shots. As for this shot, it is not bad, but measured by youre standard not very good as well :-) (the tree and branches on the left disturb the graphicall effect a bit imo) Still I like the photo as well for the richness of the forest here (wow). cheers on a pleasent spring day here.. w. roger keagle 0 Posted May 8, 2006 Richness is waht I was after...to show the feel of a rainforest, trees growing our of the damp green covered floor, reaching out intot he Sun...like being in a Greenhouse ! Yes, I agree, the brances on the left...a bit of a distraction... Link to comment
