Mechanical engineer, eh?! The spincam would create hours of entertainment for my simple carpenter's mind!! Is that a bent nail you're using for the handle?

We can't very well refer to a part of a sophisticated machine like that as a "bent nail". Let's just call it a "cold-formed fastening device." :)

I had ideas on how to build a much better version, but once the photos started all looking the same, I lost my motivation.
