The picture was taken in Dabhoi (Gujarat) not far from Baroda, last

month of March 2006. The man was in the vegetable market in the down

part of the city beside the tank. Dabhoi is an old walled city (6th

century)with impressive gates and fort walls in stone. The man is

smoking a beedie, the most popular cigarettes in India made with one

small tobacco's leaf.
