i think the textures and compositions are great and it works well as an abstract.....but.....by your standards it's a pretty conventional shot, i hope you've not been looking at too many "standard" photos on PN! ;-)

Hugo, I'm always looking! ;) Anyway, the thing with this photo is that it seems so minimal yet so detailed, I just had to take it!
