cedarbough 0 Posted January 27, 2002 I was not square on here- and I was shooting out of a boat. When I look at this, it seems off kilter. A hair. What about you? Is is bad enough to be distracting? Link to comment
philip_coggan 0 Posted January 27, 2002 By 'out of kilter' I assume you mean that yr not lined up with the central pole of the bridge-house or whatever it's name is. This doesn't worry me at all. I do notice, now you've drawn my attention, that the roof of the structure is not exectly parallel with the top of the frame - again it doesn't worry me. I do think it might have been improved if the glare of the sun on the right had been avoided, but overall it's a good capture of a passing moment. Link to comment
jean_schweitzer 0 Posted January 27, 2002 I agree there is no real problem with the horizontal lines. Maybe I would have removed a bit of the right side. I like the composition Jean Link to comment
jean_schweitzer 0 Posted January 28, 2002 Myanma ? where is it? Have a look on my pic when you have time, thank you, jean Link to comment
cedarbough 0 Posted January 29, 2002 Myanma is Myanmar, Burma... They should spell it Myanma, which is how it's pronounced, but it's at least 80% (including maps internationally marketed) spelled with the 'r' another vestigal weird English spelling... Link to comment
antonio1 0 Posted March 13, 2002 Ok, as usual, a well done vacation picture. A tourist may be proud to have this one in his slides drawer. After all, he is around to see and bring back some memories. He doesn't bother so much with a tilted subject when the picture is overall nice with all that triumph of sunset and the silhouetted, well centered, bridge. This pic should be, definitely, a keeper. Things are different for a photographer who wishes to make an exposition or sell stock photos. I guarantee you that "The Image bank" doesn't stock pictures of sunsets where horizons are tilted. Quality standard is a problem of yours, of what you like to make with your photos. Before to get pro, remember that insulting who finds drawbacks in your pictures won't sell your photos and won't buy food for your family. Link to comment
cedarbough 0 Posted March 13, 2002 As I said when I asked for people to review this photo "it seems a little skewed to me, is it bad enough to be distracting". Obviously Antonio feels it is. And he's had a less than enthusiastic response to comments I've given some of his photos. Whatever. I am honest to myself as an artist! Link to comment
