The problem with Hyde Park in the Autumn is that the miriad of Park Keepers beaver arround removing all the beautifully coloured fallen leaves. This leaves the ground green and uninterresting in Autumn. This problem is true of all London's Royal Parks.

Great sky in your photograph.

I agree with some of the other posters. Photography may be about basics but one of them is a strong focus. I can't figure out where you want us to focus. The Sky is beautiful, a classic London sky, but it doesn't take up enough of the image for me to believe it as the main focus. just my opinion. And if you're shooting parks and sky try Hampstead heath, or Regent's both of those are less manicured and can provide better shots. again imo.

I guess my issue is that a pastoral photo or painting need not have a "center" of interest per se, rather the idea is to present a scene with little pockets of action in an overall pleasing composition. I see in the center a person laying down reading a book, three crows to the left, another person above the crows reading, a park bench area, trees without leaves and the London sky you mention.

Further to the discussion is the issue of the size of the photo presented. It is way to small to "center" any interest as the media isn't right for this photo, imo. I believe it is better in a 11x14 or larger. But I do get your point, it is just I see much "center of interest" that the detail is lost for the center of interest. Just my $.02.

Thanks,

Steve
