timberwulf 0 Posted April 27, 2006 Hi there Sondra. It's good to come across one of your photos again while cruising the rate recent section. :) I like the color in this shot, with the red of the pump playing with the hills in the background. The leafless trees in the background along with the tumbleweed lend a feeling of age and loneliness to the shot as well. I can't help but feel that something might be missing - the image feels a little incomplete to me for some reason, but I'd be hard pressed to say exactly what it lacks. Link to comment

sarahunderhill 1 Posted April 28, 2006 There is something about these old gas pumps that we just love, but what a background! Great shot. Link to comment
afs760bf 0 Posted April 28, 2006 Great shot, Sondra. I can remember pulling up to those pumps, having a guy come out and wash your windshield, check your oil, fill the tank for 19 cents a gallon, and give you a glass with a fill-up. Maybe they really were the good ole days. Of course, we couldn't take digital pictures of it. Best Regards, Barry Link to comment
