jean_schweitzer 0 Posted January 26, 2002 I like the picture, but is there a reason for the cropping ? Is there something so uggly above the roof of the houses, that you needed to crop so tightly? I cant post on this forum at the time If you have time can I ask you the favour of having a look on one of my pic, This one: http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=365970 thank you Jean Link to comment
dennismk 0 Posted January 26, 2002 The tight cropping was done to give the image a more abstract feel other wise to my eye any way it would look like any other hill town, well maybe. It showed other roofs and a washed out overcast sky which added nothing to the very interesting textures of the this unique town. I am leaning more and more towards an impressionistic vision of what I view around me. The town had a other worldly feel about it and very old and I tried to capture that with this image. Sort of a "Gormangast" feel about the place. Link to comment
tony-mistretta 0 Posted January 28, 2002 I find it interesting the way the houses blend right down into the cliffside. Nice colors and detail. Link to comment
simon james 0 Posted January 28, 2002 The colouring on the cliff face under the nearest building upsets me. It is rather incongruous in relation to the rest of the composition. Link to comment
vuk_vuksanovic 0 Posted February 20, 2002 Dennis. This is outstanding, but I would like to see a little more in the upper part--there's some awkwardness in the way a few of the roof-tops have been cut off. Link to comment
