How unique and capturing! The black background sets off the orange lights perfectly. What exactly are the flames coming from?

Thanks a lot, Diana.

The flames are coming from an oxygen/propane torch, in Britain known as a "lamp", hence the term lampworking. It is a method of forming glass beads. The beads are formed around a mandril, or welder's rod, coated in a clay mixture. This is two photos of the process, combined in one image.

Glad you liked it!
