Guest Guest Posted January 22, 2008 How unique and capturing! The black background sets off the orange lights perfectly. What exactly are the flames coming from? Link to comment
richard glover 0 Posted January 22, 2008 Thanks a lot, Diana. The flames are coming from an oxygen/propane torch, in Britain known as a "lamp", hence the term lampworking. It is a method of forming glass beads. The beads are formed around a mandril, or welder's rod, coated in a clay mixture. This is two photos of the process, combined in one image. Glad you liked it!
