tmeyer 0 Posted January 25, 2002 Amy, I do enjoy your door/room series but it seems that most of the photos are worshiping or submitting to the light behind the door. I would find it more interesting if the subject were afraid of the light behind the door. Please consider poses depicting grief or fear if you revisit this subject. Keep up the good work! amypowers 0 Posted January 25, 2002 Tim...I'd be interested to see what you thought about this image...I think it might be something like what you mean. http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=525406 Link to comment
critter 0 Posted January 28, 2002 I think worship /submitting has a large component of fear. Being overwhelmed by that feared is a more complex emotion. Then again, maybe my evangelical roots are showing:) Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 12, 2002 For whatever my comment is worth, I thought of the two Deborah and the Door works, the first one was the better of the two. For reasons I can't put my finger on, I felt more interested by what stood behind the door from the pose in the first photo. Nevertheless, they're both excellent works. Link to comment
