jasonschock 0 Posted January 25, 2002 Another great one, Amy. I dig the isolation with your signature single light source. Are you shooting more with film these days rather than digital? Link to comment
amypowers 0 Posted January 25, 2002 Thanks, Jason...Yes, I am shooting a lot of film these days. Mainly because I can, you know, when its not self-portraits! Besides, I am really enjoying my darkroom. I always say that given the choice, I will shoot film, because I can always scan it, and then have it digitally, if I like. But what is also true is that with this particular lighting technique, my digital images spanked the film images in terms of smoothness and tonal values. So while I like this image, in the future, I'll probably stick to digital for this set up. Link to comment
jcriii33 0 Posted January 26, 2002 using a strobe would have, in my opinion been a more dramtic effect. with that said, overall very nice photo. Link to comment

norma_bonita 0 Posted January 27, 2002 Why do you use film ? My thinking is, if I like it I can always get it printed :) I usually have to take like 30 pictures to get one good one, so digital works better for me... Link to comment
rdwhiteman 0 Posted February 2, 2002 From what I've seen film gives you highlights you can burn in but digital seems to have much more info in the dark shadow areas. I like the ability to control the contrast range with the exposure/development controls of film and wish the range could be more controlled in camera with the digital "film". Maybe someday...but whether digital or film you've got it going with this lighting technique. Link to comment
