I just received my M42 adaptor and managed to sneak out today between

the rain to try some of the cheap Pentax screw mount lens I found at

the local secondhand shop. I haven't put the split focus screen in yet

so I had to focus by eye. For the $2.00AUS each I paid for these lens

I was very happy with the results. Some other peoples opinions or

advice would be great as I have really only done landscapes and I

would like to broaden my scope somewhat.

Thanks!!

What do you mean sneak out between the rain I thought it was a hurracane you were getting up there. Great picture under the circumstances.

Nice crisp image -NOT- mind you, of an orchid!

A bit heavy on the framing in my opinion, but good colours and well composed.

Realised that. It is a Heliconia (Heliconia Ceae)Psittacorum and is a flower. There are heaps around here but I'm not the most knowledgable when it comes to flower names. Pays to do the research. I'll change the title tonight and fix the frame.

Thanks!!
