afs760bf 0 Posted April 25, 2006 I came here after you left a comment on my photo. You have some really nice work here. I don't think I've visited before. Very detailed and colorful. I really like this one. You got great depth of field on it, too. Best Regards, Barry Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted April 26, 2006 Fey, most of my comments will deal with content and framing and not with photography techniques. That is because I'm an art collector and not a photographer. The one thing that I would leave out of this image is that item that is on top of the table on the right hand side. I was going to suggest that you crop it out of the photo, but that does not work because then too much of the cloth napkin is removed. In my opinion it would have been best to tilt the camera a bit to the right so that the table top would be level with the top edge of the frame then you could have cropped it out and kept the major portion of the napkin.I love the rest of this image! The colors and textures of everything else are very nice. Link to comment
feybe 0 Posted April 27, 2006 Thank you for your comments and critics. Me too I really like this picture. I took these object from some positions, but I like this one the most. You are right Shawn, the napkin is disturbing. This picture was taken at a new friends' house. This was a first visit so I should be careful not to move anything :-D But that's not an excuse I guess ;-) I'll pay more attention to this problem next time. Thank you again, Barry and Shawn. feybe 0 Posted April 27, 2006 This picture was taken at my new friends' house. I love the colors of the umbrellas. How about you? Your comments and especially critiques are appreciated. Thank you, Fey Link to comment
jana 1 Posted April 27, 2006 The composition is a bit careless, on the left side the table cloth hanging from the table takes much attention. Also the edge of the table. Otherwise a good idea ! cheers Jana Link to comment
calee allen 0 Posted April 27, 2006 I like the idea here of the colors and textures. I agree with the compositional points above; I would also try the approach of shooting more tightly, to isolate the umbrellas and basket. Link to comment
hadady 0 Posted April 27, 2006 Nice colors and textures in this image. I also enjoy the symetry and subtle depth. Thank you for such a lovely image. Link to comment
