I have to say that I like this one better. The extra light on the back wall and the toning down of the sweater makes for a more balanced shot...exposure wise.

But there's something to be said for the original, darker, and more mysterious version.

Either way it's a fantastic shot.

It appears to me that it's those flesh tones that really make this work. They look so warm and lively and really add to the "old masters" look. Just a fine work overall. The sweater in this version is a great improvement.

I like the other better. Much.

This is such a severely under rated picture! I never seen anything like this so far!The colors, the place, the people who are engaged in their conversation so seriously, architecture, everything are captured in its essence!7/7!

this is almost a Rembrandt picture, and I am more pleased because you caught it in my homeland!!!

I agree this has a Renaissance feel to it.
