I like how you composed your image with the rocks in the forground. Nice soft colors in the mist. Is that just a piece of an island covered by fog or is it a mini island?

Len, I understand that it's not reccomended to rate a 7 for a pic, unless it meets the highest standards of one's subjective feelings. THIS pic qualifies for me. Technically perfect. Emotionally stimulating to the eye & acesthectically pleasing to the soul. GOOD work.

To Alex Jacqueline and David Thank you all so much... The dark patch in the upper right is a mountain in the mist. The image was taken at 6:20am , Water temp about 45 deg and the air temp 34 deg F. perfect for fog.. thanks again Len.

My name is Ran Bleich and I just completed a novel.

 

I was looking around online to find the perfect picture to choose to represent the cover of my soon-to-be-published book, and I found Len Trembley's 'Island Fog'.

 

My breath was taken away instantly. This work is amazingly effective.

 

Even after discussing the choice of framing, lens and angle, I think what would mostly stay with me from this picture would have to be the colors of the mist, a certain sensitivity that only great photographers (I imagine - I am not a pro as you all probably are) possess. I don't know why this picture touches me so.

 

Just wanted to share the feeling: Amazing work, Len.
